The GFWC-SBI has been proudly serving Brunswick County since 1988. Our members attend a monthly business meeting, generally on the fourth Monday of each month. However we do not hold business meetings in June, July or August. Our business meetings are held in various locations throughout the local area. GFWC-SBI is comprised of various committees and departments which provide members with the opportunity to become involved in areas that best suit their individual interests and skills. Communication is key to keeping members informed of current and upcoming events. In-between meetings, we accomplish this through several venues: our monthly newsletter, email, the telephone and of course, our Website!

Women, from age 36 and up, with various backgrounds and interests work together to make our community, state and nation a better place in which to live. Women in our community who are looking for the opportunity for fellowship, fun and the fulfillment that comes from volunteering are welcome! Our Membership Drive is year round, with new members inducted into the organization at our January meeting. Women interested in joining the GFWC-SBI in January are invited to attend our Summer Social and then asked to attend one of our general meetings between October and December, prior to their induction to the club in January. Each member is responsible for paying their club dues by December 15th. Membership plays a vital role in the organization, as well as throughout the Federation.
If you are under the age of 36 and would like to become a member of a local GFWC organization, please contact the Shallotte Junior Woman's Club at:
